I've been reading some related topics to the A3's sport suspension, however, I still can't make my mind on which is the best combo, since I want to improve handling without sacrificing comfort and keep a moderate lowering (close to OEM Sport). For what I've read in some reviews, the options are:

KONI FSD's + Eibach Pro Kit

BILSTEIN SPORT + H&R

Supposedly, the first option should be the softest, but then again, there are some comments on the FSD installation, that they should go with OEM Springs, in order to keep optimal performance.

On the wheel and Tire side, the 18's do look great on this car, but I'd like to know if a 235/40R18 size will fit without problem (rubbing)? All Wheel and Tire websites I've checked suggest 225/40, but based on the comfort, I'd like to keep a higher tire profile; also because of poor and horrible roads in Monterrey, Mexico.

For suspension, I'd recommend HPA's SHS Coilovers; they're based on KW Variant 1, a made in German brand. The only difference are the HPA's have modified shock compression that matches pretty close to the stock Sport suspension.

Quite a few people on VWVortex have them and I'll be getting my put in on Wed!!! =)

I think if you want 235 wide tires you might need to make sure you have a high offset wheel.

probably not worth it if you have no desire to go below OE sport height. But they handle amazing, and give a very nice ride.

I've checked the HPA SHS coils and seem amazing, but are definetely well over budget....

Anyone with experience on the H&R Touring cup kit? For what I've read is an economic option (558 at tirerack) with an acceptable level of ride comfort. It's suppose to lower 1.3", but some have mentioned that it lowers well beyond that (close to 2") causing rubbing issues.
