So now that some of you have the new 2000's...
For starters could someone describe the operation of the GPS navigation system? Local dealers here don't have any yet and the sales brochures don't provide any real info.
Also, opinions on how practical it really is?
I'm trying to choose between buying a model due in < 30 days with the system vs. ordering one without (delivery date unknown).
Thanks,
Aaron
from the manufacturer/dealer on the navigation system. I'm waiting on a 2.8 w/the nav option and the most info I've found has been here on the message borad. Hopefully someone has it and will provide more info....
The S4 folks indicated that the nav system is not present on any of the early-allocation S4's. The same may very well apply to the A4's as well. Thus, it is feasibly that nobody has a car with the nav system in it yet.
Anyone care to prove me wrong?

It had to be one of the first cars off the boat. It was already sold. When I was picking my car up back in April the dealer already had a deposit on it. I looked inside and on the sticker. It had the option listed and the correct buttons on the center console. I am not sure if it actually works though. Happy motoring...

I have driven an A6 with Navigation-Plus, thats the most expensive Navigation-system offered in Europe with the A4 and A6 and comes with a 5inch active TFT-Display. (Oh sorry, just to say I'm from Switzerland).
Since I'm going to order one this saturday, I wanted realy to know how it works and what you can do (play) with it.
Just tell me your questions via E-Mail, and I will answer them.
BTW: Production of Modelyear 2000 A4 begins in October/November, leadtimes are 4 Month.
