Just put in the order for a Moro blue quattro as the trusty 98 A4 is getting a bit long in the tooth. The 90 day lead time should be just about long enough for me to fix all the little bits wrong with the A4 and get it sold. We've never had a "brand new" car before so this should be fun. This one will be base trim with the only priced options being the paint and the cold weather package. No open sky, bi-xenon or fancy wheels (yet).

The question, has anyone installed a remote start on the A3 (3.2, DSG) yet? This car has to live outside and during the winter it's just nice to hit a button. The search revealed nothing.

TIA

at least that what they told me.

2.0t fuel pumps start up as soon as you open the door, by passing this is not good for the engine.

Again this is what the dealership told me, might be right, might be wrong. I am sure we will hear somemore feedback on this.

In my euro Sportback I would hear a slight electric buzz everytiime I'd go out and open the driver's side door in the morning. It wasn't really loud, but definitely lasted a second or so. I was never sure where it came from, but it was definitely there...

Fuel pump, eh?

I pull over at a rest stop for a quick wink and fire the car up without opening the door?

Now to the question at hand. I too would like to do this modification, but decided against it for warranty reasons. Did you see the thread on another forum about a guy with an AOA A3, and someone drilled a hole in his steering column switch and AOA won't warranty the $500+ part!!!!

Sheeeeesssshhhh!
