Yesterday I saw my spare tire for the first time and I have to say I was a little dissapointed that it was not a full size tire! Now I was thinking of buying a full size tire ( I have the sport package) and replacing that whimpy thing!

Does anyone have a spare sports package tire he/she wants to sell and above all, would it fit in the compartment without shrinking the trunk??

I have the 7 spokes 16" in mine. It fits... sort of. The centre of the wheel bulges out just alittle bit. You probably won't even notice.

The carpet handhold thingamiggee doesn't always lay flat bit otherwise it fits fine with stock size tires. You might have a bit of a problem with your spare tire holdown bolt though. Mine came shipped with a A6 full size spare tire bolt, but I imagine you shouldn't have a problem a full year later.
