your dealership get in a month vs. the 2.0T models.
I'm just trying to determine if the 3.2Q is slightly rare or very rare.
If there is no regular monthly allocation, then How many have you averaged a month since they were first delivered in November 05 (?).
Since Audi is only trying to sell 6000 total for the model year ending in May 06 (?), one 3.2Q for every 20 2.0Ts would be very rare to me.

The real question is, how do they sell, where you live. Out here in SoCal, they appear to be better available than in regions with either geographic or climatic challenges. Currently, we have two in stock (silver on black, OS, CWP, 2X and red on black, OS, BT, CWP, 18" and 2X)and two unsold in transit (black on black and silver on black, OS only).

2 for each of the 3 audi dealers I look at have remained unsold. No one wants a 40k A3.

other than the ones on our local dealer's lot, I have only seen one A3 on the road, and that was last week. I live in the Research Triangle in NC. Its heavily populated and affluent. You really don't see that many Audis here.

Its even tough to find a decent color/equipment combo for 2.0Ts. I have been trying for a month to find a Lava Grey or Ocean blue w/grey int, sport, OS, DSG, convience or bi xeon, sound and XM. I gave up and have a silver 3.2Q, adaptive bi xeon,CWP, 18" wheels, OS and XM comming in three weeks. Its just as well. I have been wanting to blow those new BMW 330is into the weeds anyway.

People are just trying to enjoy their cars. I think we get it that you don't care for the 3.2.

It's getting a little old seeing your sig sister's panties on every thread.

These are the official sales figures from the Audi press release:

"The new Audi A3, introduced into the US market with a completely new marketing concept in May of 2005, sold in 5,389 units."

That is worldwide. In the NA market the number A3 3.2Q's is vastly reduced and not near 6000. Much like your earlier rant based on conjecture, word of mouth, stated as fact.

Bottom line is in the NA market they are difficult to get and should hold it's resale value better than 2.0 FSI's in the next couple years.

An early source told me that Audi was only bringing approximatly 360 3.2's into the US for the '06 model year. That number did not include special order cars. That would come pretty close to your estimate of 1:20-25. In the Seattle area I've only seen a few A3's and no 3.2's other than mine on the road. I certainly feel that A3's, and especially 3.2's, are pretty rare in this area.

Although I'm 57 yrs old, I'm just an old street racer at heart. I will just have to find a 330i driven buy a guy to race. That's the hard part. I did have a cutie pie in a 325 try the old guy in the 04TL last week. I'll bet she rushed to the Acura dealer to trade that Bimmer after she got out of the weeds.

All of them have been 2.0Ts. There is a Dakar beige in RTP - talk about rare. There's a lava at my work in RTP, and I have seen black and white ones out and about. If you spot a Garnet red with roof rails, thats me.
