I had a chance to drive in the snow here for the first time. I was so impressed with the smoothness and lack of jerkyness when the T.C. was working. I almost dident even notice the car was having traction issues. I have driven other cars in bad weather and never had such a smooth ride. Every day im seeing why Audi is worth every penny spent.

I agree one of the best FWD's I've driven in the winter, first time today too!
Even just with the all seasons on I was pretty impressed. Once I get winters I don't think I'll mind so much going from my AWD WRX.

The newest available Electronic Stabilization Program guides the car's dynamics with astonishing computer power, incorporating the ABS, EBD (electronic brake-force distribution), ASR (traction control system), MSR (engine drag torque control system), EDL (electronic differential lock), hydraulic brake assist and the ESBS (extended stability braking system).
-Got this from an Audi Press Release.
This is one of the reasons why I chose not to wait for quattro in the 3.2 form. I love the 2.0T and it suits me perfectly for California weather and is still very safe and capable in slippery weather as well. The newer ASR & ESP in this car is very sophisticated.

I could feel all the power wasn't there, and the traction light was flashing on the dash, but man it was smooth and quiet the whole time. Very unlike my B5 A4.

Is it possible to turn it off completely? Or does it kick back in, when you really exaggerate with drifting and stuff like that. (Mercedes uses that kind of option...and that sucks IMHO :( )
