Then its ME9 and you are not gonna find it anywhere.

If you are talking about for previous 1.8T and 2.7T etc then there are several but its not really what you are looking for. It would just be a hex editor program some include pointers to locations of maps. Others show them directly in a 3D graph etc etc.. But you'd still need to purchase further software and hardware to either burn chips and solder them in or flash directly..

Minimum would be a few grand as other then the skill and knowledge this is all you would need to be a chip tuner..

If this was directed at me I know you are kidding but its not as simple as just even getting the software. I know someoen from teh 1.8t World who has been working on making stuff for the last few years.. 100s of hours into it. He has some decent one off stuff for people from what I understand but still has no bread and butter basic stock turbo files, which is where the money is at.. So even with 5K say invested in software and equipment you still have thousands of dollars to invest in man hours..I looked into it and it just was not worth going from a business standpoint. From a hobby point of view it is an awefully expensive hobby to not really get anything out of it..

Basically its more about the programming first then about the tuning till you get into it.. I unlike others are not really into program tried a few times.. took a few classes in HS and while I was at college (required) but never got into it.

Thanks to PD Performance for taking this serious.

I do not intend to start a business. The thing is that I have modified my 1.8T (New intercooler, Turbo, Airfilter, ect.) and now I would like to adjust some of the ECU maps. I have access to a dyno, the only thing I need is software/hardware to carryout the adjustments.
I would like to keep the original chip. The adjustments needed are properly too advanced for a Pig back unit.

I admit that I am no wizard concerning this topic (that is why I am asking all of you for help).

Has anyone here modified/Remapped their ECU?

Does anyone know any good software to flash the ECU directly?

-"PD Performance” how fare did you friend get with his project?

Hmmmm,

Why is that?

APR GIAC etc. have excellent programs available for different applications, things are less likely to go wrong by using their programs that have been proven.

You may run the risk of running lean, overboosting, etc when DIY programming unless you know what you are doing.

True, if you want to be safe then pay someone to do it. However, if you want to modify to the limit (hopefully not above) and if you want to be able to say "I did that”, then you need to do it you self.

This friend is doing one off stuff on a regular basis... email me chris@pdperformance.com and I can try to put him in contact with you.

ARe you in the US would be my first question though.. There are several options available for just programming here that will work with a variety of modifications.

Also in Europe there are plenty of people who can get stuff done for you.

Basically what I am saying is that it would cost you thousands of dollars and a few years to figure it out on your own, so its probably not worth it to take this on yourself.

Just know there has been some custom homemade stuff.
