I have the "Mode" button on the steering wheel, which doesn't do anything. (I believe it's used with the Nav+?)
I wonder if you could program the button to allow you to put the tranny in auto mode after you use the paddles. In other words, I know that with the shifter in "D", you can use the paddles to shift up or down. This puts the tranny in manual mode.
If you want to put it back to auto mode, you can push the shifter to the right (to the truly manual mode position) and then back to "D". Or, if you don't use the paddles after some time, it goes to auto mode automatically.
Now, I think it would be cool if I could press a button on the wheel to put it in auto mode right after using the paddles. This would be useful if the shifter is in "S" mode, since you can't really do that maneuver to put it in auto mode like if it was in "D".
Just a thought.
