I was actually impressed by the call. I told them that my car shows up in a month after waiting 3 months total for the car, hoping a lease deal would pop up. Said I will not be able to take delivery of the car if no lease deal comes out in the next 4 weeks, and he told me to "wink wink" hold onto my order until the last day.
My deposit is 100% refundable even if the car is delivered to the dealer, so no risk for me on that part, but if I know there was 100% change of no lease option being offered, I'd dump it now and go for the GM deal on the Saab 9-2x Aero, which at $21k loaded with AWD is hard to pass up.
Argh, c'mon Audi, just offer a good lease deal so I can take delivery of the car and stop wondering!

Since they have leases on A4s, like $350/mth for a base model, why not for A3s? Especially if they want to start moving these cars faster from the dealers' lots. And 4th of July is a good date to start a promo like that.

Even though it's a poser WRX, that's a hell of a deal.<ul><li><a href="http://www.gm.com/employeediscount.do?brandId=sb&pvcId=50200&make=Sa ab&modelsubmodel=9-2X&typestyle=Aero&submit=Submit">Here: Saab 92x Aero deal</a></li></ul>
I spoke with my dealer and they told me that there are no Premier purchaes on the A3 at this time. I believe this program falls under the lease program.

But I agree: $550-600 for a lease is ridiculous. I guess needs to be worked out with each individual dealer.

at a reasonable rate, not sure why audi won't match it?

I leased through US Bank. It isn't as good at as the Audi A4 lease program, but until Audi backs the lease program, it is the best available. (That I could find)
Spear can you provide me with some more details in regards to your lease ? I looked on the Us Bank website but could not locate anything on a lease. Thanks
I don't know if you're looking at the A3 DSG or stick, but the Saab 9-2X Aero automatic is terrible. The car has _nothing_ when you leave from a standing start- low compression, turbo lag and auto trans lag make the car undriveable, IMO. The stick is much, much better, but you'd have to be lucky and find one on the ground- from saabnet, all 9-2X Aero sticks are sold out- none at the port.

saabnet isn't following it too well. I put in an order, and they found 8 that fit my criteria, and 2 with every option available.
AT's are of course easier to come by, because no one is buying them. I have to go to Chase today or next week and figure out a third party lease, so i can just get the A3!
