View Full Version : Window Control via remote? crew219 06-06-2005, 07:28 AM Just wondering . . . I know on the A4s you can control roll up / down of the windows via the key fob . . . can you do the same with the A3? Dave Big D 06-06-2005, 07:40 AM This is from Zerins site Dubspeedracing.com I did this yesterday on my car via my VAG-COM.... Window up/down feature via remote keyfob: Log onto block 46 - Central Convenience Recode the module with 11900 (Original number +64) Removed Selective locking (2 clicks to unlock all doors) Recode the same module with 11896 (Original number - 4) Remove nagging seatbelt chime Log onto block 17 - instruments. Recode with module by subtracting 2 from your current number. And a note from a service manager in Houston: WARNING - WARNING - WARNING!!!! Do not disable the auto lock function on an A3! The fuel release will never open if you do this!!! It is cool on the A4, but A3 people - leave the auto lock feature alone, please! vplaza 06-06-2005, 08:41 AM

Clicky...

PD Performance 06-06-2005, 08:47 AM A3 is done through adaption channels, that is probably why they had the problem with the gas flap since that is the incorrect method. I can't find my notepad with all of the things I found to post up what I think should be the autolock (didnt' test it) But for the windows. go into 46 for comfort control module then click on adaptation channels enter block 17 and hit read Then enter 1 and hit test. The top should change from off to on in the third field I think.. hit save and it will work. if you change the blocks up and down(think this was one of the last ones) you should find the one for autolock. crew219 06-06-2005, 08:49 AM PD Performance 06-06-2005, 08:51 AM rolling them down right now is so convenient with the temps going up. I roll them down when I'm approaching the car to vent it out for a second before I put the dog in the back so she doesnt' pass out by the time I get in the car to put them down. crew219 06-06-2005, 10:35 AM |
