On Thursday, 3/31 I will get a chance to drive the A3 first hand...Millenium Audi in Houston has Brilliant Black over Beige Cloth with a Manual there.

Obviously for many it will lack every option we are getting...sport....nav, oken sky, sound, xenon, wheels etc....BUT it will give us a handle on the steering, engine etc.

Especially in my color of choice =)

I will be out there with Zerin of Dub Speed Racing testing and taking pictures...will report back with impressions.!

One of the things I want to see is how good the stock stero is..vs spending a grand for the Sound Pkg.....people with the B7A4 say the factory systmer is alot better then the B6 A4's and in fact better then the Bose upgrade too. I will take a listen to get an idea...

Zerin calls Nick to inform of the A3's arrival. Zerin wants to post this thread. Nick posts it instead making him look like the end all be all source of all information that is A3!

I'm interested in:

1. How is the torque-steer situation, especially when accelerating out of turns?

2. Do the manual seats have fine-grained adjustment, like on the A4, or coarser detent spacings that make it a bit more difficult to find a comfy zone?

3. Rattles and noises? Does it seem rock solid?

Thanks!

David
