PICTURE TOMORROW MORNING!

And more importantly, what will happen when I pull on it?

I found a red pull toggle in the rear right storage bay in the boot of my A3. Not sure what it does and I don't really want to go tugging on it...

Can anyone give me any clues?

So is it like an emergency pull thing for if the car is locked, to move the little silver bolt out of the way???
