Hi,
I retrofitted an original Audi Concert radio + CD Changer to my 98, a3. But the changer seems to skip some parts of the track when driving on uneven (rough) roads. There are a lot of them here:)) so anyone has any idea how to fix this??? at the moment the changer is not mounted on the original audi stand but just attached with some stickers to the floor of the trunk... Can i clean the lenses or if i mount it on the original stand the problem will be fixed? And do you know can this changer be used in vertical position? I can attach it to the back seats...

mount it in the holder, or stick it with tape to the subwoofer. works quite well.

first it was stuck to the subwoofer but it was awful - when i turned the volume up - it started to skip - due to the power of the bass... it is not quite good idea... What do u mean - the holder?

Had the same problem with the Audi changer bracket. The changer doesn't have any memory for anti skip, pretty essential in a car, nice one Audi, yet again.
Your best bet IS to mount it on the sub, but you need to cushion it so that the chest thumping bass doesn't vibrate it.
To do this you need to use strips of thick foam. I found using pipe insulation (for central heating) cut into strips works well sandwiched between heavy duty double sided tape (used for car trim/badges). Alternatively thick draught excluder tape. Also make sure it isn't resting against the bodywork, just floating on a cushion of foam.

Chest thumping bass:))))
I almost understood what to do...at the moment i've put it on a cushion in the trunk and its perfect:) no skips at all but it can't stay like this forever so i'll try what you've told me... If you can take some pictures i'll apreciate it. I think the most important thing is the Changer to be on a soft surface and when the car shakes the foam will take some of the vibrations...
Thanks again

It's the adjuster on the side of the changer, sometimes they are mounted vertically which will effect the sensitivity when horizontal.
