I have recently bought a flipkey remote for my '97 A3. I have also had a blank key cut for it. I have re-programmed the flipkey to open and close the doors but a warning light on the dash is flashing. Its the one of the car with a key in the middle, i assume the key itself is not recognised by the immobiliser as i have used the remote to unlock the car. The cars starts then cuts out (immobilser).

Does anyone know how i can get my key in sync with the car?

you will have to go to a dealer to get the key coded to the immobilizer
