Sure, Audi is a German company, but I would like to know if the A3 Sportback that will be coming to the US in 2005 will be a German built car, or only German Engineered (as is my VW Golf... built in Pueblo Mexico with fit, finish and electrical problems from the start). Our 2004 Audi A4 Cabriolet, is over six months old, almost 8,000 miles and has proven to be a very high quality car. So, does anyone have information on A3 Factory locations? Thanks.

I'm 99.9% sure all audis are built in Germany.
My Golf GTI T was always plagued with problems,
it squeeqed and rattled like a bitch, i think it came from S.Africa.

Sorry to hear you've had problems with a Golf also. You see, I had my heart set on a new Mini Cooper, but when I learned an A3 Sportback would be imported in 2005, it should be worth looking into. I'll keep checking on the A3 forum now and then to learn more.

I read that Audi are going to make the nose of the new A6 through out the range. I notice the sportsback has the new nose. Anyone know if this is going over to the 3 door ?
