I have a standard audi head unit for a 98 A3. It only has a tape player but had a button for CD stacker. My question is can I connect any CD stacker to this or does it have to be one compatible to my headset. How much should this cost in Australia. Can I get it somewhere else by post (which is reliable).

From memory, a '98 Australian delivery has a Eurovox head unit? Can anyone outside of Australia respond if they have the same?

Suggest that you try the Australian forum on this site and also www.ozaudi.com to see what other Australian owners have done to fit a stacker. I'm guessing that the head unit you have could be unique to Australia? (Later models have Audi OEM units - eg. Concert, Symphony)

If you have the Concert head unit then I think that the standard 6 disc unit fitted is in fact made by Panasonic. Can anybody confirm that this is the standard model fitted by most Audi dealers?

Andrew.
