A question for the other young A3 owners on this forum, what insurance company are you with and if you don't mind saying, what's your premium?

I'm 23 and have a T reg 1.9 TDi SE 110 in Reading, paid around £1200 (£400ish excess) with Admiral last year for my first policy on my first car. This year I'm expecting to pay around £900 and wanted to check what other people have found.

Thanks in advance.

I'm insured with my partner on our a3. She is the policy hold with me as a named driver.

She is 23. We pay £570 fully comp with elephant.co.uk

Dodgy advert, but good rates!

32 yrs old live in Burton-On-Trent and own 1.8T Sport. Tesco have done me pround now for the last 3 years - £373.80 fully comp and claims protected plus a further £98.70 to cover mods which I had to phone up and declare seperately as the website does not cater for such details. And I'm talking chipped, highflow cat, full SS exhaust, big bore inlet pipe to turbo and K&N filter - quick little motor !!!

HTC's right, Elephant.co.uk are the cheapest around, don't bother with anyone else. There are guaranteed to be chaeper because they don't have the overheads of high street stores like other insurers. The only downer is that it's all done on the web and you have to pay the full years premium in one installment.

I have actually discovered this myself, but was put off by the web only thing, mainly because in the event of a claim it might be more hassle to sort out?

I thought that the web only thing would be a bit of a bugger in the event of a claim, however all claims are dealt with over the phone, so there is some human interaction.

You may also want to check out Tesco (that's right, the supermarket)car insurance, a friend has just taken out a policy with them that was nuff cheap.

Thanks for the suggestion Graeme. Got a quote from Bell Direct, pretty much the same as my renewal of £885 with Admiral, but with a bigger excess so I'll stick with Admiral :-)

I've got a Audi A3 2.0 FSI Sport
Age - 21
NCB - 0
Years Driving - 3
This is the first car I've had in my name.

The Admiral - £1,300 <- This was this cheapest, Tesco wanted £1,500.
PS - I've paid the insurance off in one go, and also ordered it online -> This why I've got it so cheap.

hhhmmmmm I wounder how much the new S3 is going to be???
