Gambba 08-25-2003, 05:34 AM Personally I would go with Goodyear F1's or Toyo T1-S's, Toyo recomendation is from personal experience and Goodyears are from hearing how good they are. The below link gives review ratings from various magazines, and as I'm not a fan of Bridgestone will give you an idea about which ones to go for. http://www.tyres-online.co.uk/tyretest/tests.asp or take a look at the Which test (You'll need to sign up first...it's free!) http://trial.which.co.uk/motoring.php?p_id=107&source_code=JZPK02 Paul Taylor 08-28-2003, 03:54 PM I've had my 2002 225 S3 for two months and after driving just a couple of miles in it felt so much better than my 2001 210 model. I was told they handle better on 18"s but as I looked down to inspect the rims for any scuff marks the icing on the cake was to see Pirelli P-Zero Rosso 225/40 R18 92Y, these tyres distroyed the Pilot Sports and Conti Sports in a recent Autocar tyre test at the michelin test track using a M3 as a performance test car. I don't really know much about chassis set up nor engineering but when I was racing 100cc Formula A karts and I had new tyres I could always feel the tyre working well, the Rossos give a similar feeling, they probably wear out quickly but I'd rather be happy for 10,000 miles on Pirellis than miserable for 15,000 on the Continentals. They work nicely in both wet and dry the only strange thing is that the higher the pressure the better they work in the dry. Don't know if this helps. Paul 2002 225 Black S3 |
