I've searched the archives and found a few people experiencing an RPM loss problem that I have experienced with my 2.8 w/TIP. Concensous seems to be centered around the TIP ECU. Can anyone confirm this with an actual fix?

Thanks.

And my dealer has not and cannot do anything about it. I have heard that it may go away with just the 2.8 chip. I also heard that Garret's Tip chip will make the problem go away too. I haven't gone that route yet, but may. Let me know if you find out anything.

My air bag light is on too. Here is what happens:
When I turn my car on, the air bag light stays lit for about 2 minutes and then
goes off. I called the Audi dealership and the service guy said that it
probably could cost me up to $1000.00 if the light ends up staying lit
indefinitely. As long as the light is on my air bag will not work. The
cost for the dealership just to check it out would be around $60. I think
they are trying to screw me. Since my car is off warranty there has been so
many little things that are starting to go bad. Well, I think that there
might be a quick fix that I could do myself that I just don't know about.
If you have any suggestions please let me know what the problem could be.

Thanks,
