View Full Version : 19 " wheels for audi a3 Audiaa3 03-27-2002, 04:04 AM Hello friends! Plese help me where can i get GOOD PRICE(yes cheap) for KOSEI OR OZ wheels in size 19" for my audi A3 since i lice in EU i prefer EU dealers . I liked to get web addreses Turboboy 03-27-2002, 04:25 AM I am assuming that you do mean an A3 and not an S3. Please bear in mind that if you get 19" wheels, they tend to be >8.5 inches wide. If you fit any bigger than 8 inches wide, they will stick out further than the bodywork. Not only does this look a bit silly, but you will probably experience rubbing on the arches. You could of course consider getting the bodywork modified to accomodate the extra width. I did a lot of research when I got my wheels and ended up with 7.5x18 which fit perfectly just inside the bodywork. Let us know what you decide on and share some pics when they are fitted. audi parts guru 03-27-2002, 07:35 AM I personally think that 19' wheels are way too big for the A3,18' is about the max i would go.I just hope that you have good roads where you live otherwise you will be forever fitting new wheels. Turboboy 03-27-2002, 10:06 AM I agree with that as well. I've only had my 18's since December and I already have a big chunk out of one of them. Audiaa3 03-27-2002, 09:25 PM Yes my car is vimpy stock A3(1,6:) but because its so stock and only my daily driver (hey i love the car its black with factory sport suspension.)I liked to get it as agressive wheels as possible. I have seen wheel companyes advertice correct 19" wheels for it with 35mm et are you sure it wont fit? And plese give me some web pages where to look for GOOD price. thanks for your time audi parts guru 03-28-2002, 10:24 AM i think you will have problems with 19' wheels,i strongly recommend 18' max Turboboy 03-29-2002, 01:22 AM As I said, it's the width that's the problem, not the diameter. There may be companies that do an 8x19 wheel in the correct offset but I'm really not sure. Wheels and tyres will be EXPENSIVE, so if you're spending this sort of money, it really does have to look right. Wheel compaines will always say that wheels will fit your car, but from experience this is not always the case. You could get the wheels and have the wheel arches modified to fit the wheels, but this would probably be costly. Which part of the world are you in and I'll try to get some appropriate web links for you. Cuneee 04-09-2002, 07:43 AM ... yah... i wouldn even dare putting 19" wheels on my S3... with the roads we have here in Peru, that would be suicide. :) corrado97 04-14-2002, 01:29 PM Hi, Is just got my secondhand AUDI A3 TDI 110 bhp yesterday. It drives great. Even after having driven my Corrado G60 (± 200 bhp)for 4 years. I live in the Netherlands and am also looking for 19" wheels. I saw an awesome audi S3 with 19" Mille Miglia Evo wheels by SKN-tuning in Germany. Maybe you should try to contact them they should know some adresses. See link below : - Choose which version of the Site - Wait for page to load - On the right side choose "Bilder & Medien" - On the left side choose : "Bilder - Audi S3 by SKN"

http://www.skn-tuning.de/</a

Turboboy 04-16-2002, 12:32 PM Hi Corrado97, The 19 inch wheels do look good, but it's on an S3, which has wider wheel arches than the A3. You would definetly have problems with 8.5 inch width on an A3. Personally, I would prefer to have a nice set of 18's that fit properly than ruin the effect by having the wheels sticking out past the bodywork and rubbing over bumps. Phat_Rims 06-22-2002, 10:32 AM i'm gonna have my black a3 1.8t streptonic in next wwek and i intend to wear my 19" BBS CH ET35 with pirelli p7000 235/35/19. hopefully it'll fit. I'll let you know with some pics... (geez i hope it fit!) |
