Hi, I am new to the wonderful world of S3. Am picking up March 2002 225BHP version on March 2nd. Wondered if there's anything I should be aware of and just to say I'm certainly looking forward to the black beasts 1st days on the road. (ps. how many miles are people running in for before opening the little beauty up?)

A 1000miles is usual, then start to work it up over the next 500 before giving it hell!. These engines are all supposed to be bench run in, but it always pays to take it easy at first. Incidentally it took 5-6K before mine really started to loosen up.

Cool thanks. It won't hurt giving it the occasional poke though will it as it will be very hard to resist!? In case you haven't noticed it's my first new car!
