Hi,
I posted a message to the alt.autos.audi newsgroup, but havent had a response, so thought I'd try post here:
I bought a pre-owned 1999 Audi A3 1.8T, but when slowing down and coming to a stop the car will cut out, but am able to restart it immediately after. Has anyone experienced anything similar / know of a way to solve this? The car has been back to the dealer 3 times (they have reloaded the chip software, replaced tempreture sensor, altitude sensor) but each time after I get the car back the problem is still there --- any comments suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Other than that its a fantastic car - just really looking forward to being able to drive it without keeping one eye on the road and one eye on the rev counter to check if its cut out or not.
Cheers.

I have the same problem with an A3 Turbo Automatic.

Not just slowing down, just cuts out when ever it feels like it.

It has been back to Audi Australia 4 times and this time they have had it 6 weeks and still have no idea.

We have asked for a replacement car.

Where are you and are you any closer to finding the problem?
