My A4 is coming right up on it's one year birthday, and I've noticed two problems lately.
First, when the drivers side window is put all the way down, it squeeks like something is torqueing inside. Possibly like something had broken loose or fallen inside and is blocking the window from following it's track all the way to the bottom. It passenger window goes down about 0.5cm farther then the drivers window. Anyone see this?
Second, I've noticed oil spots on the floor of my garage where I park the Audi. I haven't had any major work done, and I've only taken it to the dealer for it's 7Kmi service. Anyone else have this?
Thanks,
Ben.

would keep a close eye on the oil level and make an appt. ASAP to see where the oil is coming from.

...it enough! Seriously. A car left sitting for long periods of time can develop oil leaks, because the seals harden from lack of use. Granted, this would be a long, long time, but if you were away from home for several months or something, this could happen. Otherwise, it's probably just bad luck or overfill, as DSaveN mentioned. Hope they take care of it and you have many happy miles! :-)

Ben,
Lithia in Reno was overfilling cars oil by a quart for a couple of months this spring. If you didn't go there, it could have been done elsewhere or just been a bad seal. My window was squealing, the dealer lubricated it and it went away.

Sir,
It sounds as though you are making a prestigious choice at your tender age of 27 just by simply choosing Audi. Presently, I am 25 and dream of owning an Audi A6 Avant or an RS4 (should they ever land in North America). Knowing now that I probably will not make my purchase until I am also 27 (or 28), I have taken into consideration the purchasing power of people within our demographic group.
Clearly, I should consider 2 options: 1) a new A4 or S4 (hopefully Avant) or 2) a slightly used A6 or S6 Avant. I suppose it will be a while until I can afford a brand new A6 with the responsibility of paying back student loans and other amenities that help get started as a young adult.
But in short, you have made a formidable decision. Soon, you'll be able to trade in the A4 and go for something even saucier.
Furthermore, you can feel confident in your decision to avoid purchasing the car of choice of the plebeian hordes and the meandering masses: i.e. anything American. Yes, the American car choices consist of uneducated engineering, insipid design, and an all around attack of creative rigor mortus. True, American cars are the product of your typical stupid ass and uneducated American four-wheel dreams.
Just because we live in North America does not presume that we ought to care about American cars. You should be congratulated on your terminal dive into foreign. But, alas, now that you have chosen Audi, you will never leave.
Be good to yourself!
