I live in Boston, and have seen myriads(sp?) of A4's with scratched
rear and front bumpers. On street parking, although affordable (ie: free), does have it's downsides. SAVAGES ! Does anyone have any experience on how to protect A4 bumpers from these kinds of dings and scratches? Could a body-shop apply a thin black strip of
rubber along the length of the bumpers to protect them? Has anyone seen or done this?
thanks!

I want to know if there are anything to protect the edges of your doors when they are being opened.

Recently I saw several A4's with beautiful color matched protectors that went all around the front and rear bumpers, around the wheel arches and along the lateral edges of the 4 doors. This was done by Beiner Audi in Great Neck. Although it is normally done before delivery, they quoted me a price of $300 to put it on, in silver to match my car. I was just about to have it done, then got a big gash on my front bumper so I have to have that fixed first. The quality of the protectors was top notch, in fact I thought it was a new factory option on the 2000's it looked so good.
I know that Beiner is nowhere near Boston, but you might find out if dealers in your area offer this. I could try and get pix of them on a car (they have them for all lines)but it wouldn't be until this weekend.
