My mirrors costed 874 US DOLLARS.
The original price was 1.056 US DOLLARS, but my audi dealer made me a special price because the long wait (more than 3 months!).
I had only to change the right mirror because it is the same size as the left mirror.
To change both mirrors it costed to me 119 Dollars with tax included.

If these chrome mirror housings were available in Spain it would be cheaper for me to fly to Spain and buy the mirrors from there as the price difference between Spain and Turkey is more than $850!!! But you waited 3 months for them.

As I can't order these mirrors from Spain, I have only two options left : Either to accept the Turkish Distributor's high price or to continue using original mirror housings.

I'll post my final decision soon.

there seems to be a bit of confusion about the aluminium door mirror housings and for those who are interested i will get to the bottom of this subject.people are quoting different prices,which is understandable as different factors can affect which mirrors are right for your car,things like,does yor car have electric folding mirrors,does your car have electric memory seats,when was your car built,are they electrically heated.as you can see these questions can affect which mirrors are right for your car,when i go back to work on monday i will look on the audi parts catalogue in order to shed some light on this subject,whatch this space.

My S3 doesn't have neither electric folding mirrors nor electric memory seats, but it does have electrically heated mirrors. My Dealer offered me 2 prices: $1450 for aluminium mirror housings with standard electrically heated mirrors and $1750 for aluminium mirror housings with automatic Anti-Glare mirrors. Now, I'm waiting to hear from you Paul, as I travel to UK several times a year. How long should it take for an UK dealer to get hold of such items and for how much? Thanks for your kind assistance.

well it does appear that you can get the aluminium door mirrors, but as complete units,ie,you cannot buy the casings separately.if anyone is interested in buying a set then please contact me,i will need a photocopy of the data sticker in your service book.they are not cheap,but if enough people want them,then i will see what i can do with the price.
