Can someone tell me if the Avus wheels of the S3
will fit in the standard A3? Thanks.

Why not?
I am about to check this out as one of my local tyre dealers have a second hand set of wheels. The actual size and offset should allow clearance as 8x17 abd 8X18 aftermarket wheels fit without apparent problems.
S4 Avus wheels will not fit as the pcd is 112mm and the A3/S3 is 100mm

What's the "pcd"? And aren't the S3 and S4 using
the same wheels?!

pitch circle diameter

the circle that forms the centre of the wheel fixing bolt holes
on A3 it is 100mm 5 bolt
on A4 it is 112mm also 5 bolt so although the wheels look the same the actual fixing holes are different.

the s3 avus wheels will fit on a standard a3,i work in the parts department of the biggest audi dealership in the uk.the pcd is the same,the only differences are the offsets,which vary from wheel to wheel and there are a lot of wheel options from audi for the a3.

Can you confirm the offset (ET) of the standard 6.5x16 competion and the S3 wheels.
Do you know the actual weights of the wheels?There has been a lot of comment about the weights of the S series of wheels mainly in relation to the A4/S4 range.Apparently the factory wheels are about 28lbs (12.5 kilos) BBS RC are only 17 lbs (7.75 kilos) but do cost a lot !
