First of all thanks for the advice I have received. I take David's point about buying the cheaper version of the car that you test drove and being disappointed.

I have just bought an Audi A3 Turbo. The car is an Audi Company car with 11,000 Km on the clock. The car is one of the last of the 3 door models with a build date of February 99 although it was first registered in Australia in June, it usually takes about 4 months to land a car here from Europe.

The car was 43K which was a nice saving on the 52K for a new 5 door model, and I prefer the look of the 3 door anyway. I could have probably negotiated a new 1.8L A3 for similar money but the Turbo was a lot more fun to drive. The car is Laser Red, not my first choice ( I would have wanted the silver given a choice), but the car still looks great.

I had the first 15K service done early just as a precaution and am looking forward to collecting the car on Friday.

I will let everyone know how the car is going when I take delivery.
