Hi,

I am thinking of starting a UK S3 owners club with regular meets and hopefully some sort of negotiated discount on after sales part, chips etc.

If anyone is interested, drop me a line, I want to try and gauge interest before I start to put the ball in motion.

Hi Rod,

What about us poor A3 1.8T drivers, or even the A3 1.8T Quattro drivers?

If you were to cover us A3 drivers as well, then I think I might be interested.

Regards,

Alan.

Good thinking...

What about including all turbo'ed A3s.

I'm interested. All Turbo'd A3's should be included.

I might be interested - if I ever get my car. Hopefully, I am going to Holland to collect it at the end of this month.

I agree with Jonathan, why not include all A3 turbo's - you would generate much greater numbers.

Give thought to including all A3T models.Have you thought about an A3/S3 section under the Club Audi banner.Sections seem very much to run themselves so you can do as much or as little asyou want.It is also a RAC MSA recognised club and that brings advantages (?).Check out their site www.club-audi.co.uk It was through their site that I found this one !

Chris,

Are you a member of Club-Audi?

If so, is it worth joining?

Cheers,

I, as an S3 owner living in Turkey, would like to be a part of such a club. Please make the club available to international S3 owners. I would very much like to be a part of such an establishment.

Yes I was actually one of the Founder Members.

It depends on what you are looking for. There are regional sections and model registers. Some areas are very active others not. It depends on how the people in each area run the group. There are model groups for all types except A3 and A4 although a number of members now have these.
Probably better than the meetings are some of the visits .Last year there was a visit to see the Coupes just before they went to Le Mans and some of the Tuners and Dealers have special visits when you can even get to drive S8 S6 S4 S3 TT etc
I think you get a discount price on Audi Driver magazine and there is a monthly newsletter , mine comes with the mag.
I belong for the visit opportunities and the technical information,I do not usually attend meetings

I would have thought that the S3 owners may be better off joining the Club Audi and runing their own register or even trying the Quattro Owners Club although I think they are really Ur Quattro. It seems daft to set up a club from scratch if you can do your own thing within an existing organisation. As far as I know it doesn't matter where you live there are members in New Zealand and there is Club Audi Australia.

Just because I am a member doesn't mean I wouldn't join a S3 Owners Club if I had a S3.

I don't consider myself a poor A3 1.8t driver and actually after testing an S4 the other day I might wait till I could afford the S4 as opposed to the S3? but I do agree a club should include all turbo A3 except the diesels cause they don't count!
