anyone look into pricing and importing to the states?

It would be great if we could easily bring over an S3 here, but there are a few problems. 1) The price of a new car is significantly higher in Europe. You'll probably pay the same amount for an S4 here as an A3 in Europe. 2) Getting the car over here could cost around $2000. 3) Getting the S3 up to US specs is very likely going to be prohibatively expensive. If the S4 isn't your thing, why not wait until the 225 HP Quattro TT is available here? It's a hatchback built off the same platform with the same Quattro and motor.

Audi de Mexico has just started to sell both the S4 and S3 down here. They go for $68,000 and $42,000, so importing an S3 from Mexico to the US is out of the question, I think.
