I'm in the process of incorporating INTO THE SWITCH HOUSING of a defroster switch a remote garage door opener for Genie Intellicode systems. This will be slick, and will not require any batteries, will light up at night as a normal switch, and glow when activated. BUT, I need some info on the pin functions of a standard defroster or heated seat switch. Pin one is for the night light, two is ground, but I need a switched power source, and am not sure which of the pins from the two switch types I mentioned offer this. They have to, since they (defroster of heated seat) operate only when the car is on.
I'll be making this a FAQ too to go along with the car phone one.
