Dealer was no help at all since they could not hear anything..... Anyway, I have discovered the following: - Trim around steering wheel squeaks at idle. Vibrations from the engine are transmitted down the steering column. - Fusebox cover squeaks - Door trim squeaks - Aluminum trim on dash squeaks What a list! I guess that the door trim may be your cause. Mine rubbed against the steel door. Press the door trim at the edges and see if it squeaks. A couple of bits of felt stopped the noise and made a much quieter journey to work. It is amazing how much noise plastic on metal can make! Good luck! cytoe 09-27-1999, 08:25 AM Mine came from the front-passenger side roof (by the sunroof). Dealer said it was the headliner rubbing. They ordered a new headliner....it's still on backorder. The squeeking has stopped on its own. Good. didn't want then ripping my car apart anyway:) |
