I have already posted once regarding this question but today I went around, asked a performance shop in town and the dealer whether or not they recommended buying new Bilstein shocks with new Neuspeed lowering springs or if it would be okay to keep the "sport package" shocks with new Neuspeed lowering springs. Both the dealer and the performance shop told me that there wouldn't be much of a difference in getting the bilstein shocks over what I already had. They said it just wasn't worth the extra 500 dollars. However, my fellow A4.org members strongly recommend getting new shocks with new springs. My car is a 99.5 A4 1.8t QMS. Any opinions? I do not plan on racing, just the ocassional joy ride. Interested in looks primarily also....
