I don't know how many people disable cookies in their browser so I didn't know if it was worth it to create an alternate way of logging in (or posting).

it freaks me out to see "Hello John Johanneson" when I go to amazon.com, etc., but it's a small price to pay for access to such a great forum - thanks.

I always work with cookies disabled and would prefer an alternate way to logon/post. However, I think the registration requirement is a great idea.
