I hope I don't get negative reactions here but "TT" when pronounced as "tee-tee" loosely translates to "penis" in the Philippines. I'm not kidding. I just thought you might want to know.<p>I was also wondering if Audi is going to change the name when (and if) it sells the car there.<p>Oh well, I can always just say "Double T". <p>@;)

It means "Tourism Trophy". The car has been named<br>like this in honour to the famous motorbike<br>race on open roads held each year on the Isle<br>of Man.<p>Go and check www.audi.de, there is a great<br>multimedia presentation on the TT.<p>Here we say that it means "terrible temptation"<br>because it is really the Boxter killer. i believe it means "turbo turbo" as in bi-turbo. the 1.8T is turbo, tt is turbo turbo (two of them!)
