I hope I don't get negative reactions here but "TT" when pronounced as "tee-tee" loosely translates to "penis" in the Philippines. I'm not kidding. I just thought you might want to know.<p>I was also wondering if Audi is going to change the name when (and if) it sells the car there.<p>Oh well, I can always just say "Double T". <p>@;)

i believe it means "turbo turbo" as in bi-turbo. the 1.8T is turbo, tt is turbo turbo (two of them!)
