Luckily for those of us who live in the LA area, we have several Audi dealers to choose from and can just walk when a dealer starts to pull the usual shifty tricks.
I went to this dealer last week and did the test drives, etc. Told the salesman I needed to talk to my wife to dicuss the offer. The next day I called back and we went over the figures line by line, he even put me on hold while he checked them out with "the man in the back" and said fine, we agreed. Came back at the agreed time to put in my order, but when it came time to complete the paperwork, the salesman returned from getting the Sales managers ok, and what do you know, we now have some new charges to me! Well over 200 dollars......and this, after the salesman gave me a lecture earlier about how "the other dealer" would try to do the same thing. I can imagine what this guy would have done after I waited 4 months and my car finally got in....wonder how much the price would have increased then?
So beware, no matter how nice the people seem, you need to watch for dirty tricks....some things never change.
