I test drove a 2000 A4 Avant 2.8 today. It handled wonderfully, was comfortable and powerful enough.It definitely beats the Subarus I tested two days earlier. But, the engine noise/vibration was irritating- especially when stopped at a light.

Is this to be expected or was it abnormal? The salesman said they are all like that. True?? I hope not, it was otherwise a fine car.
