Worth doing with my set-up?
KO4 w/ 380cc injectors, PWR FMIC nad 3" Turbo back exhaust, custom GIAC chip.
Any input appreciated.
Although I might be slightly biased.

Wont see much gains till you replace the turbo with a larger one that can take advantage of what the cams do. I would think the cams might give the K04 setup a slight gain in bottom end tq, but that might end up hurting the top end power since at that point the k04 just cant keep up the flow. With a price tag of about $800 its a very small gain for the cost.
330 injectors even w/5 bar FPR doesnt seem enough to move the powerband up, and the K04 runs out well before 5500-6500 rpm where the cams have an effect. I would stay with stock until you upgrade everything else up.
You may move the powerband to a place where your supporting cast cant cut it.

and hold a set boost to redline. Just have to understand that this type of mod wont give you big gains for the cost.

but the K04 peters out at the top-end.
So you may gain some power at the top-end, but probably lose more down-low than you gain at the top.
I'm sure with an adjustable cam gear, you can adjust the power band back, but if you do that, what's the point of getting the cams in the first place? Maybe just try the adjustable cam gear first and see what happens.
As Mike said, the cost per HP gain is pretty high in this case, and the money is better spent on other things (i.e. big turbo)

and only after a bigger turbo is done.

I have an opportunity to pick up a set of cams VERY VERY cheap. Around $300 US dollars.
So at that price its hard to turn down!

There's a very real chance you'll actually lose power by camming a K04ed engine. Your flow up top is totally limited by what the turbo can move, and most programming already taxes it at the limit above 5K rpms. Remember, with cams all your doing is improving the engine's ABILITY to injest more air/fuel. The K04 can't even keep up with the stock cams up top, so more cam is not the answer, and the potential torque loss in the low to mid-range is definitely a drawback.

yeah, I'd take them too at that price, even with a K04.
If it doesn't work out, you can probably still sell them for more than you paid.
