Hey guys, it's been a while since I've posted. I wanted to show you some of the recent wheels that we have completed for customers with a brushed finish and the last picture showing a paint matched silver from an 04' S4. All of Angstroms wheels have been redesigned for detail and also the center caps have been changed over to an engraved cap.

It's been a long road for this company, and quite honestly things have not always worked out as planned. Angstrom has been striving for quite some time ironing out all the problems with previous manufacturers. At angstrom, quality is our most important goal. We are now looking at 4-6 week turnaround times. We appreciate how supportive and patient many of you guys have been to us. To me, the Audi community is what actually brought about Angstrom. As you can tell below, my Audi is heavily modified. =) Thank you for the continuing support guys!

Hows the tuning on your motor going?

I'll have to get around to it soon. Been pretty busy lately. How's your car coming along?

Need to hit the dyno again soon and will goto the drags to get a timeslip.

I've got a spare motor now and i've started collecting parts for a 1.9L buildup similar to yours with Pauter Rods, JE 8.5:1 and maybe solid lifters.

But that project is still a long way off. I'm pretty happy with the power it's putting out on the stock motor for now. Lucas and Euroclass have done an excellent job tuning it. I wish there was an APR Stage3/3+ car in Australia for me to race!!

Because the stock ones are good for about 8k rpms.

Thats prety obvious I would have thought.

Solid lifters are rated to 9000rpm - which with GT35R means a VERY wide power band.

Having been in Lucas's car now with the solid lifters I would say they are a must have mod if you are shooting for not only big power - but a big power band.

Its no good having 400+WHP if its between 5000rpm & 7500rpm - thats way to narrow.

Install solid lifters - set the rev limit at 8500rpm (or thereabouts) and have a bullet proof screamer with a good power band.

since the power will drop off well before that point. I dont see spending $3k to gain 500 rpms.

Ive been in lucas's car - and power does NOT drop off - just look at his dyno graph.

Have you ever been in a car with solid lifters with same setup as Lucas?

and the other one he stops the run before 7k. Funny thing is I also run a 2 liter like he does but with a GT35R not a GT30. My turbo comes on at the same point as his and hits its peak before my 7800 rpm rev limiter.

Since you ignored my question Ill ask it again

Have you been in a car with sold lifters and this setup that can rev to 9000rpm to base your comments? (because I have - several times and most recently last night).

I was there on the day lucas did his dyno run. (You were not) Power was still climbing when the dyno operator backed off. He wanted to run again and push further into the rev range but lucas was already happy with the 280kw at the wheels and wanted to tweak the autronic some more first.

His car keeps making power up top - there is no question about this.

Its ok tho - your car makes good power as well - its just that a solid lifter setup gives a: a broader power rev range and b: more potential for top end power.

The solid lifters are only going to help if the rest of the setup can flow enough air to support it. Just adding the solid lifters is not going to change how the car makes power, it just allows you to go above the max rpms that the stock lifters will. This will only help if your peak hp is right at your rev limiter. Now if you like running your car 1k-2k over your peak hp then adding solid lifters will help, but at that point the hp and tq has dropped off below what your making if you had already shifted gears.
