View Full Version : Is better head stud need for higher boost application? I would typically run boost at 22-24lbs. I ended up with a few burnt valves and when my shop went to pull my head, several of the stock Audi head bolts were stretched. I ended up with a full port and polish with ARP head studs and lowered compression. I now run upwards of 28lbs on 91 octane and 30lbs with 100 octane with a 57 trim. HTH. Ask MTM what they use. Rod Black 8E 11-15-2004, 06:07 AM some Audiers achieve over 300 hps without engine modification.. If it was a real turbo, that was actually in it's effeciency range at 28psi, then you might want to consider it.
