I'm not a big fan of high-volume oil pumps.

Sure, they pump out more oil, but it takes more force to turn them (HP loss). On the old-school cars, where the pump is driven by the distributor shaft, HV pumps have been known to shear distributor gears.

Unless your oil pressure is dropping at high RPMs, then you probably have enough oil.

got any cost estimates?

Definately not something I'll be doing right away, but may consider it in the future after some other things are taken care of.

I think the biggest problem is where to mount the pump, there isn't a lot of room in the A4 engine bay....
