More info. please: Lodgeing and ticket prices? Also, where exactly is Whistler? Living in New England I never paid much attention to places out west, except to jealously curse how much snow they got ;-), but I'm in North Carolina now and will have to travel to ski.

Rodney

The snow was heavy/wet and it was pretty humid. Always cloudy/snowing/top was always closed.

If all goes as planned, I will be spending the winter or a significant portion of it in Whistler. I plan to drive my A4 2.8 from VA to Whistler. Maybe as early as late-November or as late as January, but I plan to be there for anywhere from 3 weeks to 5 months. Depends what I can swing at work. Just might have to quit!

Try a pair of fat skiis and goggles and you will learn to love all the snow. Crappy weather and wet snow seperates the men from the boys (at least thats how we justify it to ourselves out here).

FYI, Mt. Baker just south of Vancouver had 1200" of snow fall last year breaking the world record.

I will definitely be there for the Christmas or Millenium eve.
Since we A4 Club Vancouver is the closet to Blackcomb/Whistler, maybe we can organize a drive-up trip over there too with you guys. Sounds good?
Anyone knows if the hotel rooms there had already been fully booked?

group rates on ski/board tickets, a little quattro action at Woody Creek raceway, reception/HQ at our shoebox studio 2 blocks from gondola ( may trade for RS4 in Silver with ALL options & cash ) gratis and hopefully fun on the slopes & apres ski.

So what do you think? 4 mtns, #1 nightlife, direct airport, paragliding, a F40 (red of course, maybe a F50) cruising around town...keep that thing in the garage in the winter, not mine unfortunately), maybe a special event by AUDI??

any takers?

View from the office (peak 9 and 10 at Breck) shows some snow. Snow making at the Basin started .today- starts Friday at Breck. Aspen sounds like it might be a good place especially if Audi has a relationship.

I went with the Land Rover crowd this summer here in Breck. Breckenridge has a relationship for the police vehicles (L.R. discos). They really played the thing up. Aspen can/ should do the same thing.

Does Aspen use Audi as the official car? Similar to Vail using Volvo..

Getting arrested for disorderly conduct may be worth the ride in an A8!

Btw - got what I think will be the last snow free ride of the season on highway 6 the other day. 4 wheel drift at 12Kfeet- very cool.
