I was just wondering....I've had the Pro-M 75mm maf for ages now :) and wanna put it in. I just went to the ford dealership and bought a plug for the maf. My question is do i need a harness with it too to hardwire it to my non-dbw 99.5 1.8t? Or do I just hardwire it to my car from the plug itself. Also do u know where i can get the wiring diagrams for the ford maf so i know which wire does what in order to hardwire it to my audi? TIA

The plug has:
red wire(pin A on maf)
black wire(pin B on maf)
black/blue(pin C on maf)
blue/red(pin D on maf)

you might want to splice it into your wiring, leaving both connectors (stock and Ford) in case you need to swap back.

Ford Connector (IIRC)
Red = +12V
Black = GND
Black/Blue = Signal Return
Blue/Red = Signal

The Ford MAF has GND and Signal Return connected internally, so you could verify using an ohmmeter

The wires on the stock MAF
Red/Green = +12V
Brown = GND
Green = Signal
Yellow = Signal Return

I might have green and yellow mixed, so you should verify with a voltmeter first.

Did you get a flow sheet with that MAF? If not, you could try and give Pro-M a call and see if they still have it, I think they keep all their flow charts and should be able to access it by the serial #. If not, they might be able to give you a flow sheet that's close.
