View Full Version : Making it easier for the turbo to make boost -good series of articles but old news now A400 10-29-2003, 03:34 PM http://www.autospeed.com/cms/article.html?&A=0646 Ray Khan 10-29-2003, 08:09 PM but I have such bad luck with MAFs and the intake system to want to mess around more. I am going back to a stock airbox soon and I will try removing the flap and maybe running a tube to it to get more air in. I doubt I will try removing the MAF screen tho. There's a slight change in sound, but I cant articulate it better than saying there's more of a low pitched "growl" under wide open throttle. Things apparantly sound different from the outside too, even at idle - I have no clue why. No CEL's and the car idles like a purring kitten. The only downside is that the throttle is way more touchy now, so I'm trying to relearn that. (Its like switching from a car with dismal brakes to super grabby ones.) cuatrokoop 10-30-2003, 07:06 AM "urS4" mod? Looks like his work at least. Thought he was only doing stuff for the 12v's though? KenK in TX 10-30-2003, 07:17 AM ...and the stage3 maf housing will work for some of the earlier 30v's too. He's bringing 30valvers into the fold, and I recently saw a post where he was looking for S4 testers too. (cant recall what it was for though) He's a great guy with a crapload of ideas, products, and know how...all topped off with obsessive/compulsive attention to detail. A400 10-30-2003, 12:56 PM |
