I've always used Ate Super Blue brake fluid and have no complaints. Now I'm seeing Motul advertised quite a bit and supplied with some of the big brake upgrades.

They're both DOT 4 and seem to be priced about the same. How do the two compare in terms of wet and dry boiling points? Any advantages of one over the other?

Motul 600 has a higher wet and dry boiling point; only Castrol SRF is better, but much more $$$.

Brake Fluid Comparison

Chris - that's quite a claim, on what evidence are you basing it?

Super Blue meets DOT 4 requirements, it should be compatible with the entire system.

and were told that the blue dye was the culprit.

I've used Super Blue in my '99 A4 and my '00 A6 for years, but they both have Tiptronic, so no clutch. No problems with the brakes to date.

Guess I've been lucky
