Finally, the day that I never thought would arrive, arrived! After 3 months, 1 week, and 5 days, I am the proud owner of a 99' 1.8Tqms! YES! I've already racked up 71 miles on it. Fun car, so well put together, so "tight" and "solid" feeling! Anyway, you all know that! Anyway, re:"break-in", I've tried to keep it under 70mph on the highway, actually kept it @65mhp and haven't revved the engine past 4K RPM while accellerating. Is this ok, or is it not too good? I've installed the OEM Audi winter matts and have yet to install my OEM Audi cargo net, Bosch clear corners and In.Pro clear sides! Guess what? I can't wait to get up tomorrow morning and drive to work! Wow...never thought I'd look forward to going to work! OK, enough.
JT Proud owner of 99' 1.8Tqms

You're right, Dave! Speaking of which, when do you think the next meeting will be? Hmm...

Sounds like what you're doing is good. However, you forgot the most important thing! Don't let the engine sit at a consistent RPM level for the first 500 mile (some people say 1000). Trying to keep varying the RPM's on the highway? Just don't use cruise and vary spwwd slightly.
