There was some mention of this on the A4 forum but I couldn't find more information.
Anyone know what this would cost and a comparison of that with the big job of putting a whole new front-mount IC in place (scary). Would the RS4 IC (if it fit) be a noticable improvement over stock? The car does have a wheel well vent behind the stock IC now.
I was told that the front mount needs software tuning but perhaps this one would not since the pressures were mostly the same??
thanks

I think a FMIC would offer better cooling anyways, since it has a larger opening and more airflow.
The real benefit of a FMIC would be with a fully built-up high boost motor (low compression). It is expensive and a ton of work to do well, but real benefits if you flow a ton of boost: 1.5-2bar.
I'll make the pitch for a much simpler, and upgradable Aquamist water injector. I have no relationship with the company or any retailer.
With the stock kkk03 and a good chip:
1.Get a full downpipe and exhaust. The exhaust will help the top end a bit (limited by turbo then).
2.Run the very best gas you can find, always.
3.Get lightweight rims and top tires (7.5-8")
4.Then play with the fine points.
Fine points: Find a smoother bend intake hose. Get a rebuildable recirc valve. Get a peak hold boost guage, or better still VAG-com. Get a water injection system.

the car already has a non-OEM turbo but it's a KKK so it looks fairly un-scary

to RS-4 fenders and bumper cover. I know the plumbing has to be modified for sure.

there's more than 1 TT and some S2000's and Miata's all running stock equipment
It's only autocross after all :) My Avant does the high speed track duty...
