I know that they are either anti-pump up and/or have a fast bleed rate. Have any of the mid-range->top-end turbo people upgraded or think about upgrading theirs and to which type?

View Full Version : What is the maximum rpm potential for OE 1.8t lifters? 6.5 - 7k? nick n 01-28-2002, 05:17 PM I know that they are either anti-pump up and/or have a fast bleed rate. IIRC there had been an issse with the runners, no? I THINK that this was one of the before mentioned weak spots with the motor. Ray Khan 01-29-2002, 03:10 PM PanTTher 01-29-2002, 10:42 PM quite a bit. The valves might unseat themselves at high rpm as the oil pressure increases. Lucas_Gchips 01-30-2002, 03:34 AM When I rebuilt the engine, i installed a new one. will check it every 35Kmiles, also the cam belt tensioner, that is another prob area. a4turbo18t 02-03-2002, 06:12 AM |
