I picked up my 99.5 A4 1.8tqms on Saturday and I am thoroughly impressed. By far, the nicest car I have ever driven.

I have one question concerning the brake pedal. When I start the car with my foot on the pedal it pushes back at me slightly and feels like something has hit it. I imagine it's normal but I have never had a car do this before. Anyone else experience this?

pedal is spring loaded, obviously, so it will retract. I assume you don't mean this. You probably mean under moderate to hard braking, where some form of anti lock kicks in. I think the anti lock feature is very sensitive in the A4. If the street is wet or has gravel of any kind, the wheels stop, and the anti lock kicks in, and pushes pack HARD against you foot. Is this it? My point is that is doesn't have to be a panic stop for the car to help out. what do I know.

hated that hydralic system, it was always broken, and very expensive to fix.
