Even when stock it's entirely possible to have a leaking endtank (we can thank Audi for putting plastic endtanks on a metal core), but now that you're running a k04 the chances are even greater. I haven't had the chance to pull mine and check it yet; either way I'll probably pull it soon and seal it (just to be sure) until I get a front mount. Since you're currently working on that part of the car it would be a good opportunity to check your IC. If you do get the chance to look at it I'd be interested in what you find. Chris WYSIWYG 07-07-2001, 03:16 AM i did wash the the bottom (IN-side) of the IC of some nasty shipping grease while the engine was running - no bubbling from leaks and no signs of age and wear, not bad for a 2.75 yrold weekend track car - although hoses are soft. we might work on an FMIC install soon(1-2wks), so i will possibly order & replace everything I can - thanks for bringing that up =) sparkster 07-08-2001, 06:43 PM sparkster 07-08-2001, 06:44 PM decadude 07-12-2001, 03:33 PM has anyone tried remounting the stock intercooler in the front of the car in direct cooling of the air if so i would love to hear more about it thanks john |
