I've always been very happy with the Neuspeed chip, having a .8 in my '97 and now the newer VBL program in my 99.5 (non-dbw). Truly a great value for the money ($200.00), but if we can equate money & performance my new GIAC chip was (without a doubt) worth the extra $200.00. With my VBL chip the car ran out of breath at 5k RPM, but now with the Garrett program pulls strong all the way to redline. And the low end pull is much stronger too. I'm totally amazed that there was so much untapped potential in my car. I'm sure if driven hard on a regular basis this added performance will ultimately come at the expense of engine longevity, but because I'm a highway cruiser who on occasion enjoys a spirited drive; I'm not too concerned. Just my $.02, no interest in bantering about chips.

A .8 bar right when I first got the car. What a difference 20hp can make. It was worth the $199. I then ran the Neuspeed ko4 software. I found that to be very rich.

Without a doubt the GIAC chips have much more power and drivability.
